Are you looking for a good time that requires a bit
of investigative inquiry and an appetite? Then you'll
need to check out Sleuth's
Mystery Dinner Shows, Orlando, Florida.
No other Orlando Dinner show gives you as much variety
as the Sleuth's Mystery. The show performers
themselves put on 13 different performances throughout
the month. Although each show is unique, they
all have a common theme: there's always a mystery
to be solved! Whether there's been a murder or a
treasure to be found, the Sleuths need your help!
And you'll have a hilarious time providing the assistance.
But the show isn't the only thing
that comes on your ticket, there's also the dinner!
And it is a full three-course dinner at that.
There are appetizers in the main lobby while you're
waiting to go in. Cheese, fruit and some sort
of pimento type wrap. Free coffee is available
while you wait if you ask at the bar. Sherlock
Holmes is wandering around and playing his character
to the max during this time. The biggest negative
with the check in process is the lobby itself.
It's a very crowded gift shop with TONS and TONS
of merchandise (alot of which has NOTHING to do
with mystery and detectives and such which seems
a little odd to me...it's almost like going into
a flea market...and it's crowded!). But then
you have to figure out which check in line to go
to (that's why it's important to buy you tickets
in advance and make your reservations in advance).
Some people in the line are buying their tickets
or inquiring about availability and it REALLY slows
the line down when people are trying to get checked
in. All in all, that was the worst part of
the show for us..trying to get checked in without
feeling like we're stuffed in a Disney queue for
30 minutes. But onto the show descriptions

Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show Information
- Show Descriptions
Here are the shows
that play nightly throughout the month at Sleuth's
Mystery Dinner Shows. The shows vary from
night to night so you'll want to call ahead if there's
a particular show you'd like to participate in.
But I'd suggest just taking a chance on whatever
happens to be going on that night. You'll
enjoy any of them:
Lord Mansfield's Fox Hunt Banquet
Lord Mansfield has invited
you, the nobility, to his Mansion. But, there
is something aloof in the Lord's kitchen. Someone
has met their end! Look past the treachery,
lies, and magic and help solve this crime!
This is the show that I personally saw the last
time I went to Sleuths so I can give you the
best description of this one. The room
the show is in is very small. Maybe 70-80
guests. It makes for a very intimate dinner
show. While everyone checks in, for about
40 minutes, you sit at your table and get a
chance to meet Helga, the maid. What a
piece of work S"HE" is. A British maid
dripping with jewelry from the lord of the manor.
But in need of a serious shave! Your salad
is already on your table so you're eating begins
well before the show really does. Vulgar,
personable, rude, ditzy, wise cracking....this
is not a show for little ones. (Although I saw
families there with kiddies under 13, I wouldn't
recommend it....it's not easy to explain when
your kid says "What's he mean by Basic Instinct?")
Then the butler comes in and tells of the pain
that the estate is going through. And
a suspicious investor. And a long lost
sister. Then the food is brought out.
When I last visited this show about 2 years
ago, I spouted on and on about how they have
the best dinner of all the shows in Orlando.
I'm not sure that still holds up. Inconsistently
cooked prime ribs, dried up vegetables seemed
to be the order of the night at EVERYONE's plate,
not just mine. The cornish hen was well
cooked and the other table nearby seemed to
enjoy the cheese lasagna but it just seemed
like the food was off a bit for the night.
All you can drink soda, beer and wine help a
little but I expected a little higher level
of food. But the show more than helps
make up for it. Very funny, tough clues,
plot twists....this show is tougher than back
to back episodes of CSI and funnier than Family
Guy. (and almost as crude). Overall, a
night here is definitely an 8 out of 10 (9 if
the food was up to par).

Show Must Go On
There is an internal conflict
within international touring company. The director,
producer, and owner all want a say on how the
show goes but not one gives any leeway. The
conflict heightens in a murder covered up by
the director. Auditions are being held
for an international WAY off Broadway company.
The production attracts both older seasoned
performers and young wannabes, and the company’s
director must decide who will be part of this
touring menagerie. To complicate matters, the
producer and the owner both want to be the alpha
male. This show within a show climaxes with
a murder and the director’s makes a DRAMATIC
decision to cover it up. Hilarious!

"signs" in the wheat field behind the Manor.
The proprietors of the Manor are very defensive
about its secrets. Be wary of the cookies.
Sleuths’ newest show is set in the English countryside
where 'visitors' (could crop circles come into
play?) once left 'signs' (like the Mel Gibson
movie?) etched upon the fields. Wheat grown
on them has been used in making magnificent
Celestial Cookies. For over 100 years people
have visited the Manor from all walks of life

Freud, and Cher, drawn to these cookies as well
