Humunga KowabungaTyphoon Lagoon
Are you a thrill seeker? Do you like going fast? If so, Humunga Kowabunga is the ride for you. Guests can find this popular attraction on the right side of the park, next to the Storm Slides. For those who choose not to ride and would like to wait for their loved ones, there is an area right at the bottom of the slide with plenty of seating for everyone. Because the slide sends guests down at over 30 miles per hour, the line for this attraction seem to constantly be moving.
As guests climb up 5 stories, past the mountain trail, they finally reach the top. At this point, shoes and sunglasses are taken off, swim suits are tied tight, and guests are measured to make sure they meet the height requirement of 48 inches. There are three enclosed slides all exactly the same. When instructed, guests will sit down on the slide, cross their ankles, and wait for the green light.
After the light turns green guests push themselves down the slide, keep their ankles crossed, lay back, and cross their arms over their chest. As they plunge down 5 stories in seconds, guests can not see anything in the enclosed flumes until they reach the ending. Finishing with a splash, misplaced swimsuits, and a wonderful weggie Humunga Kowabunga has become one of the more popular attractions at Walt Disney World’s Typhoon Lagoon.
