Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage
Disney has had plenty upon plenty of movies! From Snow White and the Seven
Dwarfs to Toy Story 2, to Aladdin! They have created many films, leaving
family and friends with plenty childhood memories! But, no movie has won
over people's hearts like the movie Beauty and the Beast. It's opening date
was November 13, 1991. The film opened with a strong presence, also
increasing the essence of the Disney renaissance (a time when Disney was
rapidly producing animated successful films). The songs from the movie also
made it #64 (in all the movies every created in America) in best soundtrack
in American movies! That is a huge accomplishment. Only 500 movies have been
added to the list since the first movie back in 1893! 116 years, and only
500 movies; Beauty and the Beast being one of them! WOW!!
First of
all have you every seen the movie Beauty and the Beast on VHS as a child? Or
maybe not a child? Well why not see it, better yet live it!? Go to Disney
World's Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage in
Hollywood Studios. The play is absolutely marvelous! The actors did an
excellent job, there was nothing phony about it! Everything made sense with
the actual movie and the singers sung like they belonged in the final rounds
of American Idol! They acted like they were taught on Broadway stages. There
overall performance would fool anyway into believing they were on steroids!
They have skills, I will admit! And since you don't have to pay
extra to get in after entry to Hollywood Studios anyway your not losing out
on anything! This is a great play for the kids, with no explicit scenes to
hinder your sweet baby's development! This I would say is one of the coolest
places to visit in Hollywood Studios in Disney World.

My experience was great!! Me and my Mom and Dad (yes I am only 17) went there with the family (little brother and sister). We got our seats and waited for the show! It got a little crowded, but we were there fairly early so our seats were excellent (though I believe everyone could see)! When the show started everyone shut up, so that was great (except for the crying baby; win some ya lose some) and the show was awesome. No physical errors could be noticed by the cast and the performance was off the chain(as us youngins' call it)!
The stage effects were really good (curtains and physical stage action). My little brother and sister really enjoyed the show and even I being seventeen would recommend it to anyone of all ages! Beauty and the Beast live on stage also teaches watchers a lesson, except those as they are along with treat people the way you want to be treated. Again, it is a great place to take the kids. The play itself is probably about thirty-five minutes long so get the young ones warm milk coupled with a pacifier! You will absolutely LOVE this show! |
The Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage play is the longest running currently at Disney now! It also originated in 1991 and is still playing today. The play was changed in 2001 to fit the movie song sequence exactly, but is missing one major scene from the movie (Beast and Belle's Ballroom scene). However, the play quality is still very nice and people still adore the show. The theater seats 1500 people and is located on Sunset Boulevard at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
