Disney completes Marvel purchase

Overseer of the Marvel business is the CEO Isaac Perlmutter approving on Thursday for the shareholders the acquisition of Marvel Entertainment Inc.

On Thursday, the $4.24 billion acquisition was completed by Disney adding to it's stable 5,000 new characters including Spider-Man said spokesman Disney CEO Robert Iger.

Disney was not able to overlook the creative and business potential the Marvel - Disney combination created because it could possibly help the growth of revenue-profits margins.

While Disney shares close at $32.25 on Thursday, shareholders at Marvel receive 0.74 Disney shares plus $30.00 worth of Marvel shares valued at $54.03 each.

The last time Disney made a big deal was back in 2006 when it acquired Pixar Animation Studios Inc. worth more than 47.4 billion in stock shares.

The co-creator of Pow's Spider-Man Stan Lee has a vast knowledge of the Marvel Universe and decided to give Disney a 3-year expansion of rights to participate in consulting services including creative scope and direction.

At least 10% stake in Pow! representing $2.5 million is owned by Disney based Burbank California.
