The Holidays, The Holidays.
Arriving on Monday, we did three days of the disney parks. Surprisingly, the parks weren't that bad. We didnt wait more than 30 minutes for anything at Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom was even less. We were able to do things at Animal Kingdom multiple times, and even get all the shows in. While i would say, it was too busy to park-hop, nothing was unbearable. It was a comfortable three days.
On thursday, we took a break to visit some family in Sanford for thanksgiving. Textbook thanksgiving. Complete with drunk uncle, turkey, and yard games. My Uncle Bill (well, my aunts married in. And its her brother.) decided it would be a good idea to go swimming. In a suit. Guess how many beers he had? He also decided to try to hit their neighbors satelite dish with a horseshoe. Classic.
We decided to deep fry the turkey this year, because my aunt and uncle didnt want to deal with baking it. That was the best decision my family has even made on thanksgiving. We ate out on their patio table (seats 20) because the weather was so incredible. It would have been a waste to eat inside. The turkey was pristine, the food was great, the people were fun. I dont think i could have asked for a better time. A little family tradition we have is to go around the table and ask what everyone is thankful for. "Family" "Friends" "love" are usually common answers, my Uncle Bill said "Indians". Interesting.
It was a great week in the Sunshine state. Theme parks, Turkey, Family, Friends, were among some of the things that were experienced during our stay in Orlando. I cant wait until Christmas when we'll be back in town and we can start all over again. Maybe this time we'll do the Worlds of Discover Parks (Sea World, Aquatica, Busch Gardens, and Adventure Island). If you are thinking about making a trip to Orlando during the fall season, thanksgiving week would be the week to do it.

Finally, after 10 long games sitting out, the Orlando Magic's All-Star 3 point man made his first appearance of the season in uniform on the Amway arena floor Monday night against a new-look Charlotte Bobcats. As to be expected, 'Shard looked a little rusty out there. He didn't even score until the third quarter. But once he did score, he was able to spark a rally.
