Sea World Price Change 09'

Before Sea World actually comes out with an official release for the new prices there were already rumors going around that the annual pass prices have gone up. In reality, that’s far from the truth. Sea World will either lower the price for Florida Residents or keep the annual pass the same price. Sea World has announced that they will raise their prices on Friday, which may not be such a surprise to everyone is that the price is still below competitors Disney World and Universal Studios. However, its only by a whopping $0.05. But as stated earlier the resort will reduce the price of its popular "Fun Cards," which will allow Florida residents to purchase a single-day ticket and be able to make repeated visits to the park. Sea world plans to raise the price of a one day base ticket $4 making the cost $78.95.

Along with Sea World, Busch Gardens will also undergo the exact same price changes. Joe Couceiro, CMO for SeaWorld parent Busch Entertainment Corp. said the higher base price is "something that not only is indicative of what we feel is the value of our parks but frankly is going to allow us to continue to invest in our parks at the level our customers expect." Meaning that the customers will be paying for what they believe the park is worth and they will be getting their money’s worth.

Orlando-based Busch Entertainment is in the process of being sold for up to $2.7 billion. Company observers expected that the ticket prices would rise shortly after the Blackstone purchase was announced to the public earlier this month, even though the sale is not expected to close until after the New Year.

Multi-park ticket options will also be raised, Sea World primarily sells the multi-park ticket options to out-of-state tourists. Similar to its major competitors Disney and Universal, Busch uses its pricing structure to drive customers toward more frequent visits to the parks and facilities.

Disney Dream 09'

Long without a headline story Disney has recently released the plans of it’s new cruise ship that is scheduled to hit the sea sooner than you imagine. That’s right, on November 9, 2009 you will be able to book a cruise on the all new Disney Dream.

Becoming the 3rd ship of an already impressive line, the Dream will be joining its sister ships on the open seas soon! The dreams intricate yet simple design truly flaunts it’s height by displaying its 14 towering decks. The overall length of the ship is about 1,115 feet long and about 125 feet wide. With all of the attractions and amenities you couldn’t expect this vessel to be light; the ship weighs in at 128,000-tons! The ship is rated to accommodate 4,000 passengers and nearly 1,500 crew members that are on call at all times of the day for the duration of your cruise.

With such an impressive line already functioning in the ocean the Disney Dream does not stray far from the original ships. The design aspect of the ship is relatively similar to that of the original the only thing that majorly sets this ship apart from the rest is the state of the art technology. Disney’s interior designers did a great job in combing sleek style with a classic feel to it. When you take your first step aboard the Disney Dream it’s almost like you teleport to an age of adventure and wonder. The humorous and child like acts that are displayed within the cruise mix with the elegance to truly provide a pleasant experience. The interior of the ship is filled with lavish decorative murals that mingle with sparkling fixtures, furnishings, original paintings, statues and woodwork envelope. The design doesn’t just stop at the hallways of the ship. You’ll be able to notice the design in youth activity clubs, resplendent restaurants, intimate lounges and theatre spaces.

Year-round, you and your family are invited to hop aboard on this unforgettable cruise adventure on the Disney Dream. Discover for yourself and find the ultimate meaning of relaxation no matter where your destination takes you.

Disney Adventures

We totally signed up for this, it was amazing. I’m not even joking; this is an experience that every family should have. If you can afford it, do it, there’s no questions asked. We decided to take out trip to Italy, we have always been told that it is one of the greatest countries to see, and were ecstatic once we had purchased the tickets. We flew into Italy expecting to have nine days of fun; instead we had nine days of incredible fun. The second we got off the plane we were greeted by the Disney Adventure Guides, they escorted us to our vehicle. The first day we spent a night in the Hotel Bernini Bristol that should have been called a resort, assigned to us. That morning we were greeted by our Adventure Guides, who knew every little thing there was to know about the famed city of Rome. They took us to monuments and tourist locations, we even got to see the incredible coliseum, and many other incredible sites. There was a lot of information they gave us about every thing, and we had time to ask questions, and we even had photo opportunities. We ate lunch at a traditional Italian restaurant where we broke bread and enjoyed great Italian food. Then we continued our guided tour of Rome, enjoying all the historical sites and listening to what the tour guides had to say.

On day three we went to the Vatican City Museum, where we had a guided tour throughout the entire place. We learned about so much history and are I would totally call myself a pro now. We were supposed to go to the Sistine chapel that day, but for some reason they were closed, so instead we spent a bunch of free time exploring the museum. Once again we enjoyed lunch at a fantastic restaurant on one of streets. After that they let us go shopping, a definite plus, and then we met back up at a restaurant for some great dinner.

Day four we visited a medieval town on the outskirts of Rome, where we saw a beautiful cathedral and took tons of pictures. Then we were taken to the countryside via motor coaches, it was so cool! We then had lunch and shopping in Orvieto a town with beautiful architecture that it has kept all these years. After that we went to Borgo di Artimino, a name I had to look up to spell correctly. Here we were given new rooms and had the freedom to explore the entire place.
On day five we were taken to a beautiful kitchen with friendly chefs who taught everyone, even the kids to make pasta. Not only did we make pasta in the morning, but we each got to eat our own for lunch. After we enjoyed our food we got the freedom to enjoy a swim at the villas and just a time to relax. At the end of our day the tour guides had set up a barbeque dinner for us all.
On the sixth day we were ushered to the incredible city of Florence, where we enjoyed guided tours and store-side arts. The city was beautiful and you found some form of art and entertainment around ever corner. We spent the rest of the day exploring and eating local food in beautiful villas.

On the Seventh day we were given a train ride, yes a train ride into Venice. That means we got to see the rest of the countryside through our windows, and boy was it beautiful. Once in Venice we had a guided boat tour through the entire city, where we saw beautiful sites and had some incredible photo opportunities. Then we had some traditional Italian Pizza, and boy was it totally great, there was no pizza like it. Then we resided to a beautiful hotel with an awesome garden for a courtyard, we spent the rest of the night here.

On the eighth day we had another guided tour, this time on foot to explore the beautiful landscape of Venice. Our tour guides knew everything there was to know about the history and modern events of this beautiful city. After that we met with some of the locals to make some cool masks to take home. These were so awesome that we took great care in bringing them back. After that we spent the rest of the day shopping and exploring all of Venice, it was so fun!

On the last day we were given a farewell by the guides and ushered to the airport, when we returned home not only were we completely satisfied, but we were greeted by a letter in the mail that we now had a free 3 day cruise on one of the famed Disney Cruise Liners. This is a must for anyone who can afford it, it was fun and educational, plus we got an awesome cruise! We plan to pick another trip next year, but were not sure to where just yet, I encourage you all to go, I cannot stress that enough.

Just the little things.

How many times have you heard the term "Orlando" in your lifetime? And whats the first thing that comes to mind? Disney. Theme Parks. Attractions. Tourism. What doesnt come to mind is the little gems that central Florida has to offer. Hometown Concerts. Small time Restaurants. Local Celebrations. Landmarks.
Orlando borders two different towns. Kissimmee and Saint Cloud. Since Kissimmee is essentially where Disney and the attractions are located, this town gets all of the hype. Starting in 1883, Kissimmee is older than Saint Cloud and is a major tourist attraction. While Saint Cloud is mostly residential (24,700 in the 2000 census), it does have its landmarks.
One of these landmarks is a church located directly in the center of the city. Established in October, 1909, First Bapist Church of Saint Cloud (FBSTC) has celebrated its 100 year centennial over a weekend celebration festival located across the three blocks of its property. Setting up a tent that holds well over 1000 people, this event was seen from everywhere in the small town. And thanks to the bands this local gem was able to contract, HEARD from everywhere. Since there was too much stuff for this church to fit into one night, they had to split it over three days. Friday night was the concert, Saturday was a Festival, and Sunday morning was a service with Big name Preachers and Song Artists.
The concert incuded three bands. Up and coming artist Chyna and Vaughn, who had a Taylor Swift sound. Bluetree, who is a praise and worship band. And Newsong, one of (if not the) biggest names in christian Contemporary. This concert was probably the highlight of the weekend for most people. FBSTC had well over 1000 people on this first night. All three bands did an incredible job, and went all out for presentation. The staff at church spent the weekdays setting up for them.
Saturday night was aimed at families. Children could come and play carnival games for candy and prizes, and there was even a costume contest. It was kind of like an early halloween (Without the scary things). Over 400 families came from all over the town came through here this night. There were more people than the first night. As far as the church was concerned, this was the main event. Lasting for most of the afternoon and night on saturday. This required the most work for setting up and ended up running smoothly. They had their local church band play some stuff, as well as some gospel singers from all over central Florida. The Pastor gave a brief challenge and there were multiple costume contests throughout the night with prizes varrying from candy bags to gift cards. They gave away hundreds of pounds of candy to hunderds of kids and families. The church provided dinner for anyone who wanted it. This meal included hamburgers and hot-dogs with all the fixings. It was a nice touch to the evening. Everyone on saturday night was given and invitation to sundays morning service.
The sunday morning service couldnt have went any smoother. The church band did incredible opening the service while they brought in a guest Artist who was a great singer from Orlando. They also had people who had been in the church for over 70 years give testimonies about what the church had meant to them. And like any good baptists, they provided lunch at the end of the service. Coffee Cup Cafe (Which is owned and operated by a Saint Cloud resident) catered. Providing a barbecue style meal of barbecue chicken, Pulled Pork, and the rest of the barbecue meal including beans and cole-slaw.
It was a nice change of pace from the typical orlando vacation. While Disney and the rest of the attractions are all well and good, its hard to rival a local, home-town celebration. While some may think that this was the churches way of promoting themselves, it wasn't. It was simply a celebration that the church made available to the community. If people walked away from it with more than having a good time, thats an added bonus. Since the church has been there since 1909, it has been a beacon to the town for over a century now. It ended up being an incredible weekend and i wish the church 100 more.

Orlando Halloween Attractions 09'

Trick or Treating at Sea Worlds Spooktacular
This time of year has been one of my favorite for many years now. (actually now that I think about it I can’t remember when I never liked this time of year!) Getting free candy from trick or treating has been one of my favorite things to do since I can remember. Unfortunately for the majority of my childhood I lived up north and was not able to part take in the many activities Orlando had to offer. However since I’ve moved down to this wonderful city I’ve been to every Halloween attraction that every park had to offer and had a great time at each and every one of them. The first park I visited was actually not so scary at all, considering the fact it was geared towards children. I took my niece to the Sea World Spooktacular which was a very interesting event, she was able to dress up in her costume and go trick or treating all around Sea World. We also got to “meet” some interesting sea creatures and even see some of Orlando’s favorite aquatic animals perform a unique Halloween show. Since my niece was only in town for a few days I decided to take her to as many Halloween themed attractions as possible in such a short time, the next one I attended was Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This event offered almost the same things as Sea World however the magical Disney touch impacted this event by a long shot, there’s just some things Disney does that cant be measured that make the events magical and fun for the children and adults, my favorite part of this event was the Happy Hallowishes with all of the fireworks themed as if the Disney villains go trick or treating in the sky. My personal favorite event this year was Gator Gatorland Gator Hollow LogoHollow which was hosted at Gatorland, this event was unlike any other Halloween event I’ve ever been too-first off costumes were not allowed but that was no problem at all, with all of the things Gatorland has to offer there would be no time to Trick-or-Treat which would rule out the need for a costume. The storyline to Gator Hollow was pretty unique- Zombies vs. Aliens competing to see who will take over mankind and not only is that bad enough the act takes place deep into the swamp where you are surrounded by hungry American Alligators. Over the course of the next couple weeks I ventured to some of Central Florida’s more popular Halloween themed attractions. The first one I attended was Busch Garden’s signature Howl-O-Scream this year the theme was Vampires, for this event you had to be the age of 18 or older which was a great sign that it would be a very scary event. Every single one of the haunted houses was Howl O Scream Haunted House Scares a group of visitorsas scary as can be, as part of my job I had to write brief descriptions of what these houses were to be like and I can honestly say the descriptions make the houses sound like playhouses compared to what they really are, all sorts of scary things were constantly jumping and popping out of nowhere every time you’d least expect it the best part about the Howl-o—Scream attraction is that we are able to ride the roller coasters all night along with going into the houses. The last event I attended was Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights and it was okay, it was better than last years attempt however the thing that I’ve disliked about Halloween Horror Nights is that only a select few of the rides are open to a certain time. The fact that the rides are closed means two things 1) There are less things to do 2) More people are in line for the haunted houses making the lines unbelievably long at times. The houses were relatively scary but it honestly wasn’t worth the 1+ hour wait. Overall this year was a great year for Halloween attractions in Orlando. Gatorland’s new addition has become a personal favorite of mine and I hope they continue to do it next year as well as far as the events geared towards children they were great too!

Magic Kingdom

So yea, we totally went to Magic Kingdom, it was insane! All the rides were totally unique, everything was different, and not a single ride was exactly the same as the other. Most amusement parks I have been to are just repeats of the same ride with a slight twist, Magic Kingdom has a ton of rides and they are all awesome! The first place we went was to Tomorrowland where we rode Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, where we sat in carts that never stopped moving. Each person has their own gun and you have to shoot Zerg’s evil minions to rack up points and then compare them to your friends. Next we went to Space Mountain, a rollercoaster in the night, its pitch black and you can see stars all around, it was awesome! After that we went to Stitch’s Great Escape, where you are practically in a simulator, it was totally awesome how Stitch moved around us and all the things they used to make it feel real.

Next we went to Adventureland and rode the Jungle Cruise, a trip in a boat through a tropical forest. The boat driver was totally hilarious and made the entire trip a constant laugh; we even got sprayed by the water elephant. Next we traveled into the dreaded city full of pirates in Pirates of the Caribbean, a boat ride that explores the dark world of living skeletons and fighting pirates! Then we explored the Swiss Family Robinsons Tree-House, the thing is massive and totally awesome. It’s filled with rooms and walkways high above the entire park, there is also some really cool moving devices that make the tree feel alive.

Next we went to Frontier Land, and road Thunder Mountain, a sweet rollercoaster through red rocks. It goes really fast for having no major drop and has some really tight turns and tunnels, it was awesome. We then went over to the Country Bear Jamboree where we sat and watched a comical show given by animatronics of bears playing western instruments. After that we went to the Hall of Presidents, an animatronics presentation that salutes our American history, it was so cool to see all of our presidents moving and talking! There was great music and monumental speeches, it was educational and fun, totally captivating.

After that we went to Fantasyland, a series of carnival rides that each have there own Disney theme. We went through Snow White’s Scary Adventures, where we traveled through a dark forest filled with trees with creepy faces reaching for us and moving in strange directions. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves defeated the witch right before our eyes, it was so cool. Then we went on the Mad Tea Party ride where we spun around and around in tea cups as we spun around a carrousel, it made us all dizzy.

Next we headed over to Cinderella’s Castle and watched the display of fireworks and music. We even saw Peter Pan fly from the top of the tower out into the distance.

So if you plan to go to Disney, Magic Kingdom is an absolute must; it was totally awesome. Every single ride and experience I would definitely have to recommend, this is one park no one, and i mean no should miss.

Universal strikes deal with Spielberg

Last April, a blog was written regarding Spielberg's buyout clause 2010 from Universal. During these tumultuous times, Universal was facing an uncertain future with large debts and 20% decrease in park attendance.

Then, Universal had to refinance it's $1 billion debt by April 1, 2010. Meanwhile lenders knew that Steven Spielberg, could exercise a buyout next year in June.

Due to the unprecedented success surrounding Spielberg's movie hits, Universal was inspired to design various theme-park attractions including Jurassic Park Adventure, E.T. Adventure, Men Black Alien Attack of which Mr. Spielberg was the consultant.

"As an exclusive consultant for Universal, Spielberg's whose name is on different attractions could exercise a lucrative buyout in 2009. Currently, Spielberg receives a percentage of revenues each year grossing nearly $20 million including comparable projects around the world."

Just this week, amidst a cash crunch, Universal managed to amend it's contract with consultant Steven Spielberg. The 22-year-old contract entitles the filmmaker to a percentage of revenue from Universal in perpetuity.

Had the extension not been settled, Spielberg could have exercised his buyout in the order of hundreds of millions next year 2010. The buyout could have complicated Universals ability to restructure debt which is due April 2010.

The option for the director to take a one-time buyout will be postponed until 2017 under the new agreement.

Florida's vision for a High Speed Train

Can you imagine traveling at 150 mph on your next trip between Orlando and Tampa? This dream has become a reality with the new Acela Express that travels between Boston and Washington.

Florida legislature thinks that it has the best pitch to win federal money for a new high-speed train. But Florida is not the only one that has a stake in a high-speed train. currently the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) is sorting out applications from 24 states requesting some $50 billion in funds. Little is know regarding the criteria that the government is looking for other than it will be merit-based.

The mandate to give America a transportation-landscape makeover, comes right from the oval office. The winner of the grants hopefully will be announced this winter 2009, this gives lobyists plenty of time to make their case for political supporters.

Florida's proposed train will travel an estimated 128 mph from Tampa to Orlando said one of the leading high-speed proponents former commisioner Edward Turanchik. Turanchik who is seeking nearly $3 billion believes that he has a good shot at the stimulus money.

After long environmental studies, route selection, and land purchases, Florida officials believe that they could have a train online by 2014 making them a forerunner in the high-speed-rail race.

Albeit, Florida believes that it has a good shot for the money, the New York-based America 2050, reviewed thousands of possible corridors for a high-speed train but did not consider Orlando because the route was too short.

During a subsequent visit to speak with political figures in Orlando, Ray LaHood believe that governement should begin supporting mass-transit on a larger scale if they want to be considered for high-speed money.

Other states including California, who have had a modicum of success building rails for decades would be asking over $4 billion of stimulus funds.

Florida's Tri-Rail that is financially struggling may not have any impact on whether the county is considered by the FRA during the upcoming race for a high-speed commuter train.

Universal's April 1 deadline

With only 6 months to resolve it's $950 million financial woes, it's uncertain if Universal has broke a deal with it's owners or Movie producer & consultant Steven Spielberg. Restructuring debt of Universal is imperative to continue operations in Orlando.

Continued improvement to the debt market as well as Universal's corporate bonds trading close to $1 dollar has created a ray of hope in the eyes of investors within several months.

Investor concern that Universals corporate bond trading at 30¢ may have changed after Blackstone acquired a 50% stake due to the $2.7 million purchase of Busch Entertainment Corp. with General Electric Co's 50% stake.

In an effort to increase revenues, parking prices at Universal have increasd 17% from twelve to 14 dollars.

New monorail coming online at Disney

Back on July 5, two monorail trains collided killing pilot Austin Wuennenberg and injuring others. Austin was 21 years old and lived in Kissimmee. An ongoing investigation by the accident triggered an investigation by the NTSB and Occupational Safety in the US.

Disney intends to put a new train in service later this year consolidating the parts from the two damaged monorail trains. Naturally, only the best parts will be used from two trains that collided.

Perhaps commemorating the life of Wuennenberg, the new train will be painted in a distinct teal or pink and purple stripe separating it apart from the other trains.

Out of respect for the deceased, the former two trains after nearly 38 years of service will be taken offline. Albeit, mechanical and electrical components did not fail on the first train, the new train will undergo a comprehensive test of all elector-mechanical parts.

At the end of the day, Disney's monorail fleet will increase to eleven trains just short of twelve.

Disney unveils new ride at Epcot

For the first time ever, Epcot's Innovation pavilion unveils the Kuka RoboSim 4-D Simulator at Epcot Theme Park.

Aboard the Kuka, guests can design their own experience using science and math equations. This new ride-of-rides will be a protege' of a bigger version Harry Potter Wizarding World attraction at Universal Studios. Essentially, Epcot is sponsoring the technology while the robotic arm is more integrated into Universals ride at Hogwarts Castle.

With a massive arm that lifts riders into the air, Kuku was developed by a German Robotics company that designs robotics for car manufactures. On this ride, guests are submerged under the hood creating complete simulation experience.

Programmed with sophisticated algorithms, the Kuka robotic arm can move on multiple axes simultaneously producing the Sum of All Thrill Rides. It has been rumored that Universal is using Kuka technology to power the $200 million Wizarding World simulator according to construction documents.

The difference between Epcot's Sum of All Rides and Universals Island of Adventure ride is that the Forbidden Journey at Hogwarts Castle includes a coaster motion along a track combined with multiple axes motion.

Raytheon based in Massachusetts, devises interactive exhibits with the purpose of promoting math and science among children.

Jet Blue to headquarter in Orlando

During this time of mergers and acquisitions, JetBlue Airlines is searching for a place to base it's headquarters. With so much to offer, the iconic giant is considering both New York and Orlando.

Albeit, the decision is months away, the company feels that Orlando has good synergy for it's business model. Relocation of JetBlue in Orlando, could generate as much as eight hundred jobs in the future. In fact both the airlines training center, LiveTV and information technology are currently located in Orlando.

Orlando has targeted an airlines like JetBlue and AirTran which could begin building a market around the aviation industry. Lower income tax as well as cost of living might be factors that JetBlue considers in the final decision.

If a blue-chip like JetBlue landed in Orlando, it could draw related businesses including vendors and suppliers. Due to the aviation center, maintenance hangars, major buildings, growing operations, it seems like a natural choice to move to Orlando.

A win-win scenario would be to leave it's corporate office in New York, but move the remaining operations to Florida.

Hilton gets a little bullish in Orlando

Hilton who is making a big foot-print in Orlando, had it's grand gala opening on Saturday near the Orlando Convention Center. Many planners are hoping that the new 1,400 bed hotel will provide more luxury rooms just minutes from the Convention Center.

With nearly 15 hotels in the area, Hilton also opened a new 1,000-room building near the Bonnet Creek area. Hilton is confident that it's new hotels will provide both business & leisure travelers a pleasant mixture of luxury and business components.

Economists feel that its a positive push for Hilton to make it's footprint in the tropical sand. A lot of confidence is being demonstrated by building hotels in the Orlando metro area.

The presence of Hilton in Orlando could add to Orlando County Convention & visitors Bureau advertising efforts due it's vast sales network nationwide. Even some aviation authorities believe that have a top-line hotel in the area could encourage other airlines to fly into Orlando.

Hilton has added another 1,094-room hotel Doubletree to it's complete spectrum of brands including Homewood Suites, Hampton, and Embassy Suites brands.

Seaworld proves resilient to tough times

Despite tough operating conditions during the worst economic decline kept on record, Busch Gardens ten theme parks have been resilient touts President Jim Archison. Recently, Busch Entertainments Corp's 10 theme parks are being purchased for $2.7 billion dollars.

Some analysts believe that Seaworld, Busch Entertainments flagship theme-park has had a specially good year out-performing it's other rivals. Rumor has it that the decline in the marketplace has reached bottom and the worst may be behind us. More stability is needed for the macro-economics though.

Not only will Seaworld have a new owner but is starting the 4th quarter with a new blog that can be found on it's portal world's of discovery. It would appear that everyone is trying to put a good face on business including timeshare that boasted resilience during tough times.

Even in the midst of lower consumer spending, time-share company rates remain higher than hotels as well as closing rates which appear on par with previous years. Only time will tell how Orlando emerges from the depression.

Blackstone to buy Seaworld

For the first time in it's 36-year history, Seaworld has finally come home to an experienced parent in theme-park operations. From a publisher to a brewery, this little orphan's quest to find it's rightful leader has ended.

Announcements from Busch Entertainment disclose that the Blackstone group BBC will purchase Seaworld and it's other siblings Discovery Cove, Aquatica, Seaworld, Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, Water Country, and Sesame Street.

With a wealth of knowledge in tourism combined with a vast chain of succesful theme-parks countrywide, this could truly be the proverbial "match made in heaven." Employing roughly ten thousand workers, BEC's president touted that "Blackstone pursued this investment because it's a high-quality operation and it's something they felt fit nicely as a growth opportunity,"

As it's rival parks continue progressive changes, so Blackstone intends to make agressive investments in it's newly purchased Seaworld. From semiconductors to arts & crafts stores, Blackstone boasts nearly $24 billion in assets not including it's purchase of $2.7 billion from InBev in the months to come.

Blackstone is also a higher-roller in other stakes including high-end hotels, resorts, La Quinta, Merlin Entertainment, South Seas Island, 1000-room Hilton and of course Universal Orlando.

As one of the busiest operations in the United States, BEC's ten theme-parks stretch from California to Pennsylvania pulling nearly 25 million guests a year with over ten thousand employees alone in Florida.

Blackstone who has been a good steward of other tourism investments has projected long-term investment the kind of which will continue the impetus of rolling out big attractions including Manta, and Jungla.

Blackstone which owns a 50% stake in Universal has been part of the force which impelled Universal to invest in a $300 million expansion which combines Harry Potter, Rip Rockit Ride and the Simpsons Ride.

Belgium's In-Bev cost-cutting mandates i.e. eliminating free beer at Busch Gardens, has really positioned Blackstone for success going forward in this new economic marketplace.

an outing at funspote

Last night our whole office was invitied to a get-to-gether at Funspot here on 192 in kissimmee, fl. We got to enjoy the whole park and every ride including the Sky Coaster for FREE! It was a blast to get to enjoy this park once again for free.

I got to ride all the go-cart tracks once again and got to test my skills on the multi level tracks swirving back and forth in a serpentine like motion trying to out do all my competitors. It was very hot outside tho when we all went at a scorching 92 degrees, but that is normal for mid october here in Florida i suppose, since it's always hot here.

After racing round and round I went and did the Sky Coaster for the second time, this time was even more thrilling because it was just me and friend instead of two more people, when we finally reached the top i pulled the string and wham, we were reached a summiting 77 miles per hour. I never been that fast before outside of a motor vehicle. It was amazing, the thrill you can't substitute anywhere else. This is the world's tallest free standing sky coaster at 330 ft high, it's sure to give everyone who ride's it a great thrill!

I actually got to ride it again for free! So I rode it twice in one day for 0 dollars. What a bargain! Holyland Experience

Holyland ExperienceAs the Crystal Living Waters danced to the rhythms of Hallelujah, Hallelujah, the Holyland Experience transported us back to a bygone era of the bible, nearly 2,000 years ago when Jesus, the Messiah walked in Jerusalem.

Outside the gate, over 1,500 people lined up with anticipation reliving a pivotal moment in history as powerful characters step right off the pages of the bible. As the line wound around to the Damascus and Jaffa Gates, over 2,000 tickets were exhausted just 1/2 hour after the park was open.

While thousands of people remained outside the gates, thousands more making a long line on I-4, our journey was about to begin. Just through the gate guests found themselves in the authentic Middle-Eastern market place of Jerusalem. Merchants dressed in the times sold handcrafted products in the midst of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and other detailed artefact's.

The streets of Jerusalem bustled with excitement as children headed to Smile of a Child Adventure Land. Sounds of music filled the air with singing and drum beats. Sights and sounds of festivity filled the air as the crowd headed to partake of the last supper of Jesus. While being ushered to the last supper table, Jesus transported guests back to his supper with his disciples before his impending death.

Sounds of people praising on stage with Sing Along Live emanated from the theatre as the crowd headed to The Jerusalem Model Presentation. Beyond the door of the Shofar building (Shofar being God's voice) a breathtaking model full scale of the city of Jerusalem stretch across the building. Largest model of it's kind dated back to A.D. 66, displayed a stunning view of Jerusalem 2,000 years ago in living colors.

Perhaps the the most soul-stirring events of the day was the Behold the Lamb Drama. From the hall of Pontius Pilate to his fateful scourging, amazing scenes combined with heart-felt drama, caused conviction and tears from many guest. From the high priest's accusation of blasphemy to moment Jesus emerges from the tomb, guests found themselves in the middle of one of the most powerful presentation.

As one of the most inspiring places on earth, see Jesus minister to the woman from Samaria, four women impacted by the Lord, breathtaking scenes of the Children that came to the Messiah, Behold the Lamb drama, the master as he heals the sick, the tale of the Roman Centurion's dying servant, high-energy praise & worship and much more.

Wonder Works

So we bought tickets to the Outta Control Magic Dinner Show and decided rather than wait all day to go to it we would visit Wonder Works and all its rides. Wow was this a trip; we decided to take it slow and not miss anything, and thats probably the best advice you'll get from this place. The first floor is only accessible from a strange tunnel that makes you feel like your falling off because the walls rotate. Then you find yourself in a room that lets you experience natural disasters on a much smaller scale. We sat in a booth as it shook violently just like an earthquake, and then we stood in a room while we were thrust into high speed winds like a tornado. Then we watched gravity defying water drip upwards in a broken tube and then even pause midair! Next we went upstairs to see a room full of random and interesting devices. We threw baseballs to see how fast we could throw, my best was only 50MPH, nothing compared to the 90MPH champion throws. We then went to an area full of massive bubble making devices. Where we made bubbles you could fit people in and long stringy ones you could wrap around you if they didnt pop! We tested pully systems and lifted ourselves into the air with ease, we even played air hockey with our hands on a massive screen. We then went to a room with flight simuators and sound booths. The Sound Booth was an interesting experience in a haunted house where they explained how having to ears adds to our daily life! Then we entered the flight simulators where we flew upside down and did flips in a small pod, it was liek a rollercoaster without moving! Next we went to the arcade and played laser tag, where you shoot each other with laser pointers to rack up points. Then we went downstairs to the Outta Control Magic Dinner Show where we were served unlimited amounts of popcorn, salad and pizza! The show was absolutely hilarious, the entire comedy sketches and stand up comedy made the show! While doing some amazing tricks you will find yourself laughing and clapping the entire show. If your gonna do a dinner show this is the one.

Pirate's Dinner Adventure 09'

Pirate’s dinner show was a very interesting show on many levels. Not only was the theme well set up and followed there were also other things going on in the show that grabbed the viewers attention such as the gymnasts and the comedy portions of the show. Making my reservation for the show was very simple, all I had to do was call and give my first and last name, and ticket number it didn’t take any longer than 5 minutes. In my case the show started at 7:30pm and the doors were set to open at 6:00pm. Unlike some other dinner shows Pirate’s is not a first come first serve show. Once you make your reservation and are on time you get the seat you pay for. I arrived to the Pirate’s building at about 6:45pm which is just enough time for a few pre-shows, however to get the most out of your money I would recommend going when the doors open. The process of getting in was very simple, I went to the ticket booth with my prepaid ticket and told the employee my name and in seconds I was given a colored card, and a little pamphlet. Walking in to the actual building I was greeted by friendly guards who informed me exactly how I will be getting to my seat and then directed me to the photo area where I took my picture with the pirates. In the pre-shows I saw there were many children playing around with the pirates, and it definitely looked like they were having a great time. During the pre-shows there are several stations where you can get a slice of bread and turkey or a plate of vegetables, not only did I think the food was great apparently so did everyone else! The very last pre-show then began to play as the main actors introduced themselves and explained the story to the audience; this pre show consisted of everything that makes a great story such as comedy, magic, stunts, and an amazing outline. After the final pre-show we were instructed to follow the Pirate’s that were dressed in the same color as the card you receive at the ticket booth. You follow the pirate into the dining area which was a completely breathtaking set that replicated a pirate ship that was surrounded by fog which then cleared to water. We met out waiters and waitresses who were all very friendly and made service their #1 priority, for the first course of the meal we had the option to choose from a vegetable soup and a garden salad. I chose the soup and don’t regret my decision. We moved on to the main course where you had the option to choose chicken and pork or chicken and shrimp with rice and potatoes, I chose the chicken and pork and again didn’t regret my decision. The dessert was by far the best part of the meal where you had the option to choose from ice cream and apple pie or ice cream and a fruit salad, and the apple pie was great! As we were eating the show was going on with all sorts of action, explosions, fights, and comedy. The storyline of the show was well planned out and the competitions had the crowd going wild. Children and adults of all ages joined the show as they marched around, sailed in boats, and participated in some of the competitions. After the show you are invited to join the Buccaneer Bash which is a disco dance party where people of all ages can dance and have fun in the vibrantly lit lobby area of the building. Pirate’s easily takes the cake as the “World’s Most Interactive Dinner Show” and I look forward to enjoying this fascinating show again.
