Pirate's Dinner Adventure 09'

Pirate’s dinner show was a very interesting show on many levels. Not only was the theme well set up and followed there were also other things going on in the show that grabbed the viewers attention such as the gymnasts and the comedy portions of the show. Making my reservation for the show was very simple, all I had to do was call and give my first and last name, and ticket number it didn’t take any longer than 5 minutes. In my case the show started at 7:30pm and the doors were set to open at 6:00pm. Unlike some other dinner shows Pirate’s is not a first come first serve show. Once you make your reservation and are on time you get the seat you pay for. I arrived to the Pirate’s building at about 6:45pm which is just enough time for a few pre-shows, however to get the most out of your money I would recommend going when the doors open. The process of getting in was very simple, I went to the ticket booth with my prepaid ticket and told the employee my name and in seconds I was given a colored card, and a little pamphlet. Walking in to the actual building I was greeted by friendly guards who informed me exactly how I will be getting to my seat and then directed me to the photo area where I took my picture with the pirates. In the pre-shows I saw there were many children playing around with the pirates, and it definitely looked like they were having a great time. During the pre-shows there are several stations where you can get a slice of bread and turkey or a plate of vegetables, not only did I think the food was great apparently so did everyone else! The very last pre-show then began to play as the main actors introduced themselves and explained the story to the audience; this pre show consisted of everything that makes a great story such as comedy, magic, stunts, and an amazing outline. After the final pre-show we were instructed to follow the Pirate’s that were dressed in the same color as the card you receive at the ticket booth. You follow the pirate into the dining area which was a completely breathtaking set that replicated a pirate ship that was surrounded by fog which then cleared to water. We met out waiters and waitresses who were all very friendly and made service their #1 priority, for the first course of the meal we had the option to choose from a vegetable soup and a garden salad. I chose the soup and don’t regret my decision. We moved on to the main course where you had the option to choose chicken and pork or chicken and shrimp with rice and potatoes, I chose the chicken and pork and again didn’t regret my decision. The dessert was by far the best part of the meal where you had the option to choose from ice cream and apple pie or ice cream and a fruit salad, and the apple pie was great! As we were eating the show was going on with all sorts of action, explosions, fights, and comedy. The storyline of the show was well planned out and the competitions had the crowd going wild. Children and adults of all ages joined the show as they marched around, sailed in boats, and participated in some of the competitions. After the show you are invited to join the Buccaneer Bash which is a disco dance party where people of all ages can dance and have fun in the vibrantly lit lobby area of the building. Pirate’s easily takes the cake as the “World’s Most Interactive Dinner Show” and I look forward to enjoying this fascinating show again.
