Jet Blue to headquarter in Orlando

During this time of mergers and acquisitions, JetBlue Airlines is searching for a place to base it's headquarters. With so much to offer, the iconic giant is considering both New York and Orlando.

Albeit, the decision is months away, the company feels that Orlando has good synergy for it's business model. Relocation of JetBlue in Orlando, could generate as much as eight hundred jobs in the future. In fact both the airlines training center, LiveTV and information technology are currently located in Orlando.

Orlando has targeted an airlines like JetBlue and AirTran which could begin building a market around the aviation industry. Lower income tax as well as cost of living might be factors that JetBlue considers in the final decision.

If a blue-chip like JetBlue landed in Orlando, it could draw related businesses including vendors and suppliers. Due to the aviation center, maintenance hangars, major buildings, growing operations, it seems like a natural choice to move to Orlando.

A win-win scenario would be to leave it's corporate office in New York, but move the remaining operations to Florida.
