Characters in Flight helium Balloon

On Wednesday, the new Characters in Flight attraction at Downtown Disney made it's first native voyage carrying guests over 400 ft above Buena Vista Lagoon. As one of the largest teathered air-balloons in the world, the balloon Aero301 was built in Paris by Aerophile SA. Attached to the balloon is a 60ft circumference gondola that accomodates 60 passengers.

Guest describe the ride as an adrenaline pumping rush as the balloon climbs 400ft into the air. From the air, Characters in Flight boasts breathtaking views of Lake Buena vista, Cinderella's Castle, Epcot Center and even parts of Cape Canaveral on a clear day.
