Parks desperate to attract customers

Parks SeaWorld Orlando & Universal Orlando are dueling to the death to increase park attendance in 2009. Both will be unveiling their new high-tech, adrenaline-pumping, high-speed rollers coasters this year.

Rival Disney World is getting into the fight by presenting it's new American Idol Experience which will be hosted by Hollywood Studios. After the American Idol is debuted at Disney World, guests will be divided between SeaWorld's immersion coaster Manta & Universal Orlando's coaster Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket.

Both these signature rides are billed to cost millions of dollars, investments that may be a waste during a weakened economy.

While Manta fly's at a maximum speed of 56 mph at 140 ft, the Hollywood Rocket will cruise at 65 mph at an altitude of 167ft both featuring new twist, turns and music. Manta will immerse the guest through various aquatic exhibits featuring 304 sting rays and 3,000 animals.

Enthusiast are anticipating an amazing experience on each coaster.
