Holy Land Experience enlarging it's borders
Trinity Broadcasting network is enlarging it's borders after purchasing the Holy Land Experience in Orlando. At a price of $17.6 million in December, Trinity purchased the adjacent property to house it's 10 person administrative staff.
Future plans include a television studio at the current site of 100,000 square feet. In the interim, Trinity plans to continue leasing the space to it's current tenants.
With 38 television stations in the US and over 300 employees, Trinity is the largest Christian broadcast in the world. Although the purchase gives Holy Land the opportunity to expand, no immediate plans are on the table for now.
With a low hope of attendance in 2007, Trinity Broadcast purchased the attraction that offers enactments of stories of biblical proportion with the broad mission of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many skeptics like Dennis Speigle has downplayed the purchase and importance of the Holyland experience as low success.
Since the Trinity purchase, attendance has increased dramatically primarily due to the increase television media surrounding the attraction. Now when people travel to Disney, they have been informed that the Holy Land Experience exists just minutes from the attractions.
The construction of a new broadcast network has been tabled until the economy begins to recover.
