DIsney's Mission Space lawsui settlement

For the last five years, Disney has been fighting in a lawsuit with Environmental Tectonics Corp., (ETC) a Philidelphia PA firm over the development of Mission Space. According to the companies the details of the settlement were confidential.

Five years ago, Disney awarded a 30 million dollar contract to develope and build it's Mission Space attraction. Since it first opened a 4-year-old bod and a 48-year-old women expired on the ride due to pre-existing complications.

The centrifuge-based ETC contends that Disney did not pay them the full amount preventing the firm from winning additional work. Seeking more than 15 million in damages, the firm contends that Disney shared confidential information to one of ETC's rival companies.

Later Disney counter-sued alleging that the Pennsylvania firm did not meet the specifications costing Disney an extra 20 million dollars.

After the settlement, Disney praised ETC for it's expertise and experience that it provided in the design.
