Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure
Living in Orlando, Florida I have the amazing opportunity to spend my weekends going to some of the world's greatest adventure parks. One of my favorite parks to visit with friends is Universal and Islands of Adventure. I remember the last time I visited Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure with one of my friends from school, we spent the day visiting both parks and going on every ride. We started the day at Universal Studios, we walked around and saw some of our favorite characters from Universal Studios' movie like, Shreck and Donkey, Thing One and Thing Two, Spiderman and other superheroes. We also rode the movie ride, where they take you on a tour, by boat, of some of the greatest movies made by Universal Studios. It was really exciting to see some behind the scene stuff of some of our favorite movies.
After we finished making our way around Universal Studios, we made our way to Islands of Adventure, which is only a short walk through City Walk from Universal Studios. Compared to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure is definitely more of an action park, with many more rides. We started by riding the roller coaster The Hulk. This was definitely our favorite ride of the day. The hulk is a crazy fast paced roller coaster filled with loops and drops perfect for the daredevils who love a good roller coaster.
After we rode The Hulk a couple of times, we went on the Spiderman 3-D ride and the Doctor Doom drop, which is a straight ride up a huge pole and then a drop down, filled with stops along the way.
After this, we went into the water area of the park which offers a fun place for children and adults alike to cool off and get wet, either by riding the two water rides, which guarantee a wet ending, or by simply walking under the mist machines that they have near the shops and restaurants in the area.
We finished the day by heading over to the other side of the park, where they have more roller coasters! They also have a kid area, with smaller roller coasters and areas to run around in. But we decided to ride the Dueling Dragons. This is probably the best roller coaster out of both of the parks. It is actually two roller coasters in one. There is a blue dragon and a red dragon, and they begin at the same time but head in different directions, and for one quick moment, they come to a cross and give the allusion of a possible crash, but they quickly speed away from each other. This ride is full of twists and turns and of course huge loops! It's definitely one not to be missed.
