The Haunted Mansion

Disney World is full of fun and exciting rides; roller coasters that take you to new heights, and themed rides like Winnie the Pooh and Pirates of the Caribbean. One of the best rides to go on at Disney World is definitely The Haunted Mansion ride that inspired the movie.

The Haunted Mansion ride is a very unique attraction at Disney World due to the fact that is it a spooky ride. I remember the last time I rode The Haunted Mansion ride, I was at Disney with some friends and we were working our way around the park and we decided to go on the Haunted Mansion to see what it was like, because they had recently refurbished and added new aspects to the ride.

Even before we entered the building where we would get on the ride, we were surrounded by a spooky graveyard and an invisible horse. The environment around us definitely got us excited to see what the new ride was going to be like.

When we walked into the building to get on the ride, it was even spookier; with dims lit lights and huge chairs that would take us on the ride. When the ride started, we were surround by the sound of a ghost telling the creepy story of the Haunted House, and how it was being occupied by a man who had not moved on to the after-life because he wanted to be with his bride.

Throughout the ride we heard erie music and it was a colder ride which added to the spookiness of the ride and made it feel like we were actually in a haunted house. Throughout the ride we saw talking and singing heads, ghosts and moving objects.

For me, one of the creepiest moments was when our chairs turned towards a mirrored wall and we could see ourselves and the person we were riding with, AND a ghost sitting in between the two of us! I remember the first time I rode this ride I screamed because I was so shocked to see that ghost.

When the ride ended we were definitely pleased with the new look and feel of the ride and we were so excited to have ridden it. It is definitely one of the best and spookiest rides in Disney World.
