Extend Thanksgiving at Universal Studios

With the holiday season of 2008 in full swing, there are many holiday celebrations taking place in Orlando. Although Thanksgiving is over does not mean that the warmth of the holiday has to be lost for the entire year. This year you can really get the holidays rolling by extending Thanksgiving a bit longer. How, you ask? Well, for starters you can make Orlando you vacation spot for this holiday season, and since you are here in Orlando, plan to make a trip to the theme parks that call the City Beautiful their home.

Let us look at Universal Studio Orlando. Even though Thanksgiving is over and all the leftover turkey is gone, you can continue to give thanks to Universal for extending Thanksgiving a while longer. From now until December 06, 2008, Universal will be highlighting their magnificent Macy's Holiday Parade, along with other various celebrations to commemorate this holiday season. The Macy's Holiday Parade boasts some of the most gigantic balloons around. Some of the balloons include famous faces like the Cat in the Hat and Curious George. Nothing says Thanksgiving like a May's Holiday Parade.

After the parade leaves the main thoroughfare, indulge in the numerous celebrations that will be going on around the both parks, Universal and Islands of Adventure. Join shows like How the Grinch Stole Christmas and listen to the fantastic music of Mannheim Steamroller. You will be engulfed with the spirit of the holidays when you visit Universal Orlando this holiday season.
