Disney's Grad Nite
One of the privileges of being a senior in high school is the end of the year senior trip. For my high school's senior trip we went to Disney's Grad Nite at the Magic Kingdom. Me and my friends had been looking forward to this trip all year. A whole night of music, rides and entertainment.
When we arrived at the Magic Kingdom we were instantly surrounded by buses filled with students from all over the country. Throughout the night we met people from New York, Georgia, Texas, and Virginia. That was one of the cool parts about going to Grad Nite, everyone was there to have a good time at Disney and everyone was so nice. The workers we very hospitable and made the environment enjoyable for all us seniors.
We started the night by riding some of our favorite rides like Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain and even Buzz Lightyear's Adventure. We had so much fun running around the whole park getting on as many rides as possible before the concerts began.
The night I went to Grad Nite they had an awesome line-up of artists from all different genres, including Ne-yo, The Last Goodbye and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. My friends and I were most excited to see Red Jumpsuit Apparatus perform. So about twenty minutes before they went on, we made our way to Cinderella's Castle where they would be performing. It was so exciting, they did an amazing job and had the whole audience dancing and singing along to their songs.
Disney also planned a surprise guest performance by the Jabawokies, the dance group that had recently won the T.V. reality show, America's Best Dance Crew. It was such a great performance they put on for us, they were so entertaining and had the entire audience cheering. My friends and I were even lucky enough to have met the members of the group after both of their performances.
At the end of the night Disney had set up a special presentation of fireworks just for us. It was amazing. There were fireworks of all different colors, shapes and sizes. There were even ones that look like the number "2008" for our graduating class. It was definitely the perfect ending to a great night spent meeting new people and riding the roller coasters and rides with my friends. Disney's Grad Nite is definitely one senior trip not to be missed!
