Sea World Announces a new Ride - Manta

Sea World's new Mega Attraction is coming in 2009

Get ready for Manta, Ride the Flying Ray!!

After the award-winning opening of it's new theme park Aquatica, SeaWorld is staying one leg up over it's rivals with the new sensational Manta Flying Coaster.

This new attraction will provide a seamless transition from the oceans underwater treasures to soaring in the open-air. This coaster will transport guests to and underwater flight with rays.


This is a brand new level of immersion with marine life in the natural habitat.

Sit back and be inspired as your journey begins with a walk through caverns adorned with mosaics, jewels and marble. Experience face to face encounter with over 300 rays as you walk through a mythical village that celebrates the magical legend of rays.

Experience the sensation of flight of these beautiful creatures as guests are inspired by an underwater flight of these powerful creatures. Face down in a horizontal position, guests will ride underneath the belly of the coaster of a train shaped manta with 12 foot wing span.

Swoop and glide at 60 mph over four inversion of 3,359 ft of track as the coaster makes an effortless transition between sky and sea. Without a shadow of a doubt, the ride will do what SeaWorld does best, connect guests between sky and sea.

Keep your eyes open because SeaWorld has announced the opening to be in the summer of 2009.
