The New 5 Park Flex
This past Spring break of 2008 my family and I took a vacation down to Orlando Florida. We had twelve days and my kids have never seen the parks before so I wanted to give them the best experience possible. This is where I ran into a new ticket in town called the 5 park flex with Aquatica. Included was 14 days of unlimited use to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Sea World, Wet N’ Wild, and Aquatica.
Aquatica is the new water park of Sea World that just opened in mid March and is the latest addition to the Flex ticket. Not only did I get a great price on the tickets but it is also one of the most flexible, making it perfect for vacations. In our trip, we went to both parks of Universal about two times, Sea World three times, Wet N’ Wild once, and Aquatica about four or five times. It was great because the flex ticket is one of the only tickets that give you more than one day access to this brand new park.
The one thing in the vacation that stood out in my mind was by far Aquatica. I have been to the other Water Parks of Orlando but this one is easily the largest and the most innovative. There are tunnels that plunge you into a pool full of dolphins and different types of rivers, both lazy and rapid styles. In the days there we would ride almost all the rides, eat a meal or two, visit the animal habitats, and did some shopping for souvenirs. The only downfall I can think of for these new Flex tickets is the high chance of losing them. I’m only saying this because my family and I were using the tickets so much; we misplaced them twice in our vacation. Luckily, we were able to find them again both times. On top of that the place we bought the tickets from was called Great Orlando Discounts, and they gave us a copy of the tickets in case they were lost, which we appreciated very much. All in all, I highly recommend this ticket to anyone looking to see all the parks. Not only do you get the most bang for the buck, but there is no strict itinerary that needs to be followed. I will definitely get this ticket again the next time I go to Orlando.
