Water Parks and other Attraction Assements by L.D.

We are on our way to Blizzard Beach (I don’t know why because it’s bloody cold in England) and the kids are already with their towels and trunks looking forward to the big slides!

Blizzard Beach is set out in the style of a ski resort complete with mountains and snow. We took the chair lift up to the top of the mountain to ride “Teamboat Springs” which is a 1200 foot long water slide where you ride a family sized raft. It was the children's favorite ride in the park!
There were a lot of other water slides and a lazy river called “Cross Country Creek” where you could float endlessly round on a rubber ring. We weren’t brave enough to ride the world’s tallest and fastest free-fall body slide the “Summit Plummit.” We clocked people going at over 55 mph!

After Blizzard Beach we went to “Downtown Disney” for a quick look around the shops and visited Disney Quest, the indoor interactive video theme park. Adrian wanted to visit the Lego shop and in the end bought himself some magnetic lego Star Wars characters to brighten his bedroom wall!

Inside the DisneyQuest Theme Park there were quite a few rides and things to do. I’d read about the CyberSpace Mountain where you could build and then ride your own virtual rollercoaster and been on a similar one at EuroDisney. Unfortunately, the queues were a bit too long so we didn’t bother waiting. We went on Invasion! An ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter ride instead, and ended up getting ourselves blown up!
