Due to the growing local economy of Dubai, robust commerce, vibrant population and growing tourism, it looks like building a new theme park Universal Studios Dubailand will be a great fit for both Dubai and Universal Parks & Resorts said Universal’s chair Tom Williams .
Projections for park attendance for 2010 will be upwards of five million people a year. According to officials, the Universal Dubailand will be comparable in size to Universal Studios Orlando.
The best spot for the new park according to officials of Dubai would be the quickly developing Arabic vacation land. Featured in this area are showcase hotels, gigantic Mall of Arabia, beaches, golf courses, museums, and stadiums. This area caters predominantly to Western, Russia, India, and continental European vacation markets.
Universal Studios Dubailand will be built by Tatweer who is responsible for construction of residential compounds, offices, shopping, hotels, and leisure areas inside the new theme park. Four themed parks are in the vision including Hollywood Zone, Adventure Zone, and Metropolis Zone. Additional attractions may include The Eightht voyage of Sinbad Stunt Show, Islands of Adventure, Jurassic Park River Adventure, and the Revenge of the Mummy.
