Out with the Old and in with the New
Some times when a big executive like Brad Rex of Epcot leaves his post many have the fear that they can’t go forward. But isn’t it amazing that life goes on and that business continues to survive without the dependency of a particular leader.
According to critics, Rex had helped Disney’s Epcot Center recover from a downward spiral and created a new vibrant and busy theme park not withstanding some changes that departed from the vision of the founding father.
Most of the critics voice there concerns by admonishing the new top manager Jim McPhee not to succumb to the continued pressure from Pixar. Epcot is purely and unequivocally Disney and Disney fans would like to see it remain that way.
Others still suggested that maybe the new top dog aught to get out into the park and look around a bit. Rediscover the nooks and crannies of the park and see where improvements can be made to help restore the park back to the originals visionaries’ intent that being Walt Disney.
That said, Rex obviously has experience to lead Disney due to his previous leadership at Epcot in 2001 for 21 years. Hopefully the new executive president can help chart a new course for the future of Epcot by hiring the best cast members, ban outsourcing, and listen to his cast members recommendations.
