Man collapses at Blizzard Beach Disney World
A guest started climbing up the steps of a water slide at Blizzard Beach when he informed his wife that he was not feeling well. Moments later, he started back down the stairs telling his wife that he would meet her at the bottom and went into cardiac arrest moments later.
The Downhill Double Dipper water slide is considered to be in the "Big Thrills" category and visitor can shoot down the slide at speeds in access of 20 miles per hour. Anyone with a pre-existing condition, should use wisdom and not be ascending stairs which will stress their bodies to the limit.
This is not the first time that a guest has expired on rides that stress the body’s normal functions, but three other guests met their fate within a period of 8 months at Disney World.
