Among travelers, Florida was number #2 in wine & culinary related travel
Over 2300 travelers in the U.S. responded to on-line to studies relating to culinary and travel and some of the results are astounding. According to the Travelers Industry Association (TIA) recent studies, polls indicate that those traveling for wine, festivals, and food shose California as the premier venue at 14 percent, followed by Florida 10 percent and New York at 7 percent.
These statistics by recent polls indicated that 27 million tourists, representing 17 percent over the last 3 years, participated in culinary or wine related travel.
Being the venue for wine tasters by tourists across America, it’s no surprise that California came in #1 among tourists that were polled. Culinary related travel can include such things as food festivals, cooking classes, and shopping at farmers markets.
On the other hand, activities around tasting fine wine may include visiting wineries, and wine festivals.
