meander down this winding path filled with amazing exhibits of exotic wild
animals in their natural habitat.
As you frolic through the wilderness be sure to have camera in hand
to catch those close encounters with wildlife including underwater hippos,
gorillas and much more. Here you can trek into the forest in search of a
gorilla feeding on a fresh green leaves, discover Nile hippos sleeping
underwater, view thousands of tropical fish in crystal clear brook, and watch
wild birds loose on every side.
Enter under the fresh green lush canopy of the forest as younger
children are
mesmerized by facts on African wildlife. Imagine entering into
a scientific field hut filled with intriguing things to learn as you view
a wall filled with nests, snakes, mole rats borrowing to build their nests.
This wild nature trail becomes informative and entertaining as you enter the
grasslands of this place of enchantment. Deep in the African grasslands,
you spot distinct grazers including antelopes, Guenther's dik-diks, gazelles,
meerkats, and the famous Lion King's Timon.
Perhaps the most significant part of your journey through the
Pangani Forest will be your visit to the lowland gorillas in their natural
habitat. So playful are they that your children will be glued to the
glass enclosure. One moment they are cleaning and the next moment completely
enthralled with playing with another gorilla. Not only has the
research center provided a view of this family of playful primates in the
wild but also there a group of bachelor gorillas are house adjacent to this
exhibit. Watch as these young Silverbacks fight and quarrel for
dominance in den filled with other rivals.
